ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester City School District is holding a series of hearings to discuss the path forward for six schools under receivership.
Under New York State law, schools in receivership must make significant gains in student achievement. During the hearings, school officials will discuss the performance issues and what receivership means for students and families. The public can give their feedback during these hearings.
Six RCSD schools are under receivership. The first meeting took place on Friday, focusing on the Dr. David and Ruth Anderson Academy School No. 16.
