Glen Powell debuted a striking hair transformation for an upcoming role in the new Hulu series Chad Powers.
On Saturday, Aug. 30, the official trailer for the show dropped, offering fans a good look at Powell in character for the football series executive-produced by retired NFL players Eli Manning and Peyton Manning.

Chad Powers—based on a sketch that was featured on Eli’s ESPN+ show, Eli’sPlaces—follows the story of Russ Holliday (Powell). During the Disney Upfront 2025, the actor described it as a “really funny” series about a “quarterback whose bad behavior destroys his college career, so he disguises himself as a guy named Chad Powers and joins the struggling football team.”
Although Powell looks quite like himself as Russ Holliday, he completely changes his look to go undercover as Chad Powers. His bold transformation includes longer hair—both on his head and his face—as well as facial prosthetics and an overall grubby look, helping him to disappear into the role completely.

"Chad, personal hygiene is part of participating in a society," his coach, Jake Hudson (Steve Zahn) points out in the trailer.
To that, Chad replies, "I wish I could be in there, coach. I know you wish you could be in there too."
"I don't wish that," Hudson quips.
"Who the f--- is that guy?" an opposing team's coach wonders aloud in a different scene, as a cheerleader bluntly points out after Chad scores a touchdown. "He's, like, extremely ugly."
On Sunday, Aug. 31, Powell posted the Chad Powers trailer via Instagram, writing, "Many teams are held together by a great quarterback. Only one team is held together by silicone and glue. Get ready for @chadpowers."
The Top Gun: Maverick star's followers shared their excitement over the upcoming series, with one Instagram follower declaring, "I can’t wait to see this!??."
Another shared, "This looks awesome?."
Someone else echoed, "I'm so excited to watch @glenpowell ?."
A different fan wrote, "We are definitely looking forward to this ?."
Meanwhile, yet another follower commented, "I’m so ready!!"
In addition to Powell and Zahn, Chad Powers stars Toby Huss as Mike Holliday, Clayne Crawford as Coach Dobbs, Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia and Frankie A. Rodriguez, among others.
