For Baywatch actress Nicole Eggert, who underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery on Thursday, August 28, the journey so far has been all of that. The actress recently updated her fans, sharing that six days after surgery, she’s starting to feel like herself again thanks in part to her makeup artist Julianne Kaye, who worked some “magic” on her. And truly, she looks breathtaking.

"11 years battling this Stage 4 beast. Metastatic Breast Cancer has opened up another level of grief in me that I never truly knew existed," wrote one. "I do grieve the woman I was before this chapter in my life."
"After you fight to save your life, and the living on adrenaline and fear winds down, the grief creeps in," another shared. "Mine started about 9-10 months post double mx."

Nicole Eggert First Announced Her Breast Cancer Diagnosis in 2023
Eggert has been candid about her journey for nearly two years. She was first diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer in December 2023, telling People in January 2024 that it’s been a tough fight from the beginning.
“I have panics where I'm like, just get this out of me,” she said of the lump in her breast. “You sit there and it's in you and you're like, every second that passes and it's inside of me. It's growing, and you're just like, you just want it out.”
“This journey's been rough for me. This hasn't been a breezy sale through life,” she admitted. “I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through.”
