Love On The Spectrum Fan-Favorite to Appear in Brilliant Minds Season 2

The premiere season of Brilliant Minds put a new show on the map, with 31 million viewers tuning in for the season finale on both NBC and Peacock. Now, we're anticipating the start of Season 2 in just a few short weeks, and the list of guest stars is shaping up nicely.

The Season 2 premiere will kick off with an appearance by Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, but that's just the start of a reality TV crossovers for this NBC breakout hit. Love on the Spectrum's Connor Tomlinson is also slated for an appearance on Season 2.

Tomlinson is making his scripted television debut on Season 2 of Brilliant Minds and will be featured in the third episode. While much of the Season 2 plot and storylines haven't been revealed yet, we know that Tomlinson will play a character named Tom, a resident at a group home who loves spy stories.

It's not clear if he will be a Bronx General Hospital patient or interact with Dr. Wolf and his team in some other way. Tomlinson was among four guest stars announced for Season 2 of Brilliant Minds last month. They include RHOA's Porsha Williams, Chicago Med'sMolly Bernard, and Smallville's Laura Vandervort.

'Love on the Spectrum' Celebrates Multiple Primetime Emmy Nominations

Ahead of Tomlinson's first scripted television appearance, he is celebrating Love on The Spectrum's success, as the Netflix reality series has been nominated for five Primetime Emmys: Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, Casting, Cinematography, Directing, and Picture Editing.

We'll see if Love on the Spectrum wins any trophies when the Primetime Emmys air live on September 14, 2025, at 8/8c on CBS.

What We Know About ‘Brilliant Minds’ Season 2

Brilliant Minds is loosely based on the real-life story of Dr. Oliver Sacks, though the NBC series is heavily fictionalized and follows Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto).

At the end of Season 1, Dr. Wolf met with his father, Dr. Noah Wolf (Mandy Patinkin), who reappeared in his son's life mid-season after it was believed that he had died. The reunion was anything but easy for the brilliant neurologist, who struggled to accept that not only was his father still alive, but that his mother agreed to keep that a secret from him until the recent reveal.

Following that cliffhanger, Season 2 of Brilliant Minds is expected to continue the main storyline while also featuring the episodic cases Dr. Wolf handles at the fictional Bronx General Hospital, where he treats patients with rare neurological disorders that demand his skills to uncover, and often cure, whatever ails them.

Season 2 of Brilliant Minds premieres on Monday, September 22, at 10/9c on NBC.
