ROCHESTER, N.Y. – As the saying goes, “timing is everything” and that is good news for the holiday weekend. A big dome of high-pressure has settled over the great lakes and eventually will overspread the entire northeast – including the Ohio Valley. This means we all the right ingredients for pleasant late summer weather thorough Labor Day. Look for cool nights and warming days with little to no chance of rain through Wednesday.
Tonight, expect for mainly clear, starlit skies. It will be another cool night with the low temperature near 50 along the lakeshore and Rochester, but in the 40s south of the city. Sunday brings more sunshine and temperatures warming into the middle 70s. On Labor Day the sunshine continues with the mercury again rising into the mid-70s. The first chance of rain will be later Thursday.
