While the jam-packed slate chalk full of primetime matchups is sure to excite, there will also be a very bittersweet moment that kicks it all off, and that will be the farewell of college football icon and legendary College GameDay host Lee Corso.
Corso, who has been a member of the GameDay staff since the 1987 season, will make his final appearance on the program on Saturday morning when the crew heads to Columbus for the matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 3 Ohio State.
The entire college football world will be bidding farewell to one of the most prominent figures in the history of the sport tomorrow, but the folks over at Southwest Airlines also decided to honor the coach before he boarded his flight on Thursday afternoon in a very heartwarming fashion.

He then gave Corso the picture they took together to commemorate his last flight on Southwest to Columbus for College GameDay, and everybody in the terminal proceeded to give him a standing ovation.
Moments like these just show how important Corso has been to so many fans across the nation, and why his departure will be such a bittersweet moment for everybody who has grown up watching him on fall Saturdays.
