ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Out of all the fall-y days we’ve had recently, today will be the fall-y-est. Temperatures will be in the mid 60s at most, with a northwest breeze 5-15 MPH and partly to mostly sunny skies. There is a small chance for passing spotty lake effect showers into the afternoon, but for the most part we’ll be dry. Overall, It’s a great day to go for a hike (if you don’t mind the breeze), do your fantasy football league draft if you haven’t already, or do any of your other favorite pseudo-fall activities.
Temperatures will get down to the upper 40s for inland areas tonight, so if you’re going camping down south, you might want to bring the mummy bag. Start of Labor Day weekend is still cool, with temperatures up to 69 degrees on Saturday, and sunshine sticks around through and beyond the holiday itself as temperatures eventually climb to the mid 70s on Sunday, upper 70s on Monday, and low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday. As for wind, Saturday will still have that northwest breeze at 10-15 MPH, but Sunday and Monday will be calm.
Next chances for showers will be Thursday as another cold front arrives. After that, the fall-y-ish temperatures return.
