General manager Jason Licht and head coach Todd Bowles have built a competitive roster in the off-season and the Bucs have every chance of outperforming their 28/1 price.
The Bucs finished the 2024 campaign with a 10-7 record, topping the NFC South. They should win the division once again, with only the Atlanta Falcons likely to challenge them due to the rebuilding jobs at the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints.
Tampa lost in the WildCard Round 23-20 to the Washington Commanders last season, but they beat both the Detroit Lions and the Eagles in the regular season.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield will be supported by a ruthless offensive line, and even though left tackle Tristan Wirfs has missed some practice with a knee injury, he is one of the best in the game at protecting his quarterback.
As well as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin Jr., the Bucs added Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the 2025 draft. A one-two punch of Bucky Irving and Rachaad White at running back gives them some real firepower, and Bowles always keeps his teams in games due to his elite defensive mind.
The Bucs look overpriced for this year’s Super Bowl and if they can stay healthy at the right time, they could cause a surprise or two.
