The Knights, who claimed the Section V title over Mendon before winning the state championship, are hopeful for a repeat performance despite graduating key seniors.

“Kind of a mantra here, we want to get as far as we can in the season,” senior libero Jamie Kotalik said. “I think we just all have to believe in ourselves and be confident when we get there again.”
“It’s not going to be easy by any means, cuz there’s so many great teams out there, but I also think that we’re one of the great teams too,” said senior setter Chloe Cunniffe.
“I definitely think we could two-peat. We’re super confident in this gym of playing at a high, being super competitive and playing at a high level,” said Klueber.
The Knights are determined to maintain their success and avoid being a one-hit wonder.
“We put a lot of pressure on ourselves because we want that two-peat,” Cunniffe said.
“We’ve set a foundation, so now we can start off where we left and continue to grow, head coach Taylor Rivera said.
Despite concerns about a potential letdown after last season’s peak, the team remains focused on their goals.
“Just knowing that our careers are going to come to an end at some point,” Kotalik said. “Some of these girls are going to play in college, but I think we just want to end it on a good note and finish what we started last year.”
Cunniffe echoed the sentiment, saying, “It being our senior year we want to end with a bang. It was the best experience ever, so who wouldn’t want to win twice?”
The Knights are looking to add another championship to their achievements this season.
