More than 100 flights were delayed Thursday at Denver International Airport after another morning of “low visibility” prompted a ground delay, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
As of 8 a.m., flights headed in and out of DIA were being delayed by an average of 41 minutes, according to the federal agency. Those delays were expected to increase.
The traffic management program had delayed 101 flights and canceled two by 8 a.m. Thursday, according to flight tracking software FlightAware.
Southwest delayed 61 flights, followed by 21 from United and 14 from SkyWest, a regional airline that operates United Express. Five other airlines delayed between one and five flights.
