BOSSES at the retailer Claire’s are to close 290 stores after filing for bankruptcy.
Chiefs filed for bankruptcy earlier this month, plunging the future of the accessories retailer into jeopardy.
Store shutdowns are expected to take place over a period of time.
Court documents, which were filed on August 25 and seen by The U.S. Sun, included a list of more than 290 locations.
In the documents, 235 Claire’s locations are set to close, as well as 56 Icing locations.
The store closures are set to impact shoppers across a slew of states, including New York, Florida, Michigan, California, Oklahoma, and Illinois.
It was previously reported that 18 Claire’s locations would close on September 7.
Discount sales have been taking place at the locations set to close.
