ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two people are facing charges after Rochester Police say one of them pointed a handgun at someone near Hudson Avenue Tuesday.
Police say it happened at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. They say the victim reported that she was stopped at a red light on Hudson Avenue when she saw 29-year-old Joshua Alvelo pointing a handgun at her.
According to police, the victim also reported that 32-year-old Natividad Santana-Corcino was sitting in the passenger seat, someone she claimed she was in an ongoing dispute with.
At around 7 p.m. the same day, police say they found the suspects car on Norton Street and did a traffic stop.
During the stop, they say they found Santana-Corcino in the back of the car with her six children ranging in ages from an infant to nine years old, while Alvelo was driving. They also say they found a loaded handgun in the car.
Both Santana-Corcino and Alvelo were brought to the Monroe County Jail and charged with the following:
Criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees. Endangering the welfare of a child.Alvelo was also charged with menacing in the second degree. Both of them were arraigned, with Alvelo being held on a $2,500 bail and Santana-Corcino released with non-monetary conditions.
