HORNELLSVILE, N.Y. — A former Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy has pleaded guilty to being in possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Stuart McHenry uploaded about 24 files of suspected child porn onto the messaging app “Kik,” under the username “acman990.”
Investigators were able to trace the account back to McHenry, and also say they found messages between him and other users where he sought, got, and sent out child porn.
McHenry was a deputy while this happened, prosecutors say. He pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, which carries a maximum of 20 years, and a fine of up to $250,000.
