The voices of Moana, Tiana, Belle and Ariel sang iconic songs from their animated films in a tribute to Disney Princesses during a “surprise” concert filmed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland for an upcoming Disney+ TV show.
Disneyland hosted a one-of-a-kind concert on Tuesday, Aug. 26 in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in honor of Disney’s World Princess Week just before the Anaheim theme park closed for the night.

Disneyland didn’t announce the time or date of the “surprise” concert filmed during park hours in hopes of managing crowds and expectations.

The World Princess Week concert at Disneyland featured Auli’i Cravalho (voice of Moana in 2016’s “Moana”), Anika Noni Rose (voice of Tiana in 2009’s “The Princess and the Frog”), Paige O’Hara (voice of Belle from 1991’s “Beauty and the Beast”) and Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel from 1989’s “The Little Mermaid”).

(Brady MacDonald/SCNG/Orange County Register)The concert was hosted by two other Disney voice actresses — Ginnifer Goodwin (voice of Judy Hopps in 2016’s “Zootopia” and Snow White in the “Once Upon a Time” TV series) and Susan Egan (voice of Megara in 1997’s “Hercules” and Belle in “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway).
The four princess singers were accompanied by a four-person choir that harmonized during choruses.

A bevy of Disneyland meet-and-greet princesses joined the four singers during the show’s finale.

The filming started promptly at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night and was finished by midnight at park closing.
Disneyland handed out white glowing foam wands to a select group of Disneyland visitors allowed in front of the stage to wave during the taping of the show.

A police helicopter shining a spotlight on the nearby I-5 Freeway buzzed over the park during the second taping.
