Rochester native and former Bishop Kearney King, Nate Carter, has made the Atlanta Falcons’ 53-man roster.
Carter graduated from BK in 2020 and played his first three seasons of college football at UCONN, seeing time in 17 games and amassing 1,149 scrimmage yards. After his time as a Husky, Carter transferred to Big 10 member Michigan State.
As a Spartan, Carter played in 24 games in two seasons, rushing for 798 yards as a junior and another 499 as a senior.
The Rochester native went undrafted in April before signing with the Falcons, where he shined enough to make the team’s roster as its third-string running back.
In the preseason, Carter ran the ball 16 times for an average of 5.3 yards per carry. His biggest game came in week two when he burst out for a 43-yard touchdown run to cap off a nine-carry, 63-yard performance.
