Before meeting Swift, Kelce had already made his presence known on the football field. So when news broke Tuesday, the NFL shared their own warmhearted reaction to the engagement.
"Congratulations to Travis and Taylor," read the post by the league's official X account, with a reposted image of the proposal.
Even some sports outside of Kelce's wheelhouse got in on the fun. "It's a love story, and Taylor said yes!" the NHL's X account posted. "Congratulations to @taylorswift13 and @tkelce on their engagement!"
Cleveland's MLB team, the Guardians, added humor to their X post about the internet-breaking news. "Thanks a lot, Taylor Swift. Now no one cares that next year's schedule is out," the team posted.
Kelce and Swift have been romantically linked since 2023, when Kelce first made waves in trying to meet the 14-time Grammy winner. They began dating shortly thereafter, and Swift has now become a staple at Chiefs games.
