Raja Jackson is facing an investigation from the Los Angeles Police Department after he appeared to attack an independent wrestler on Saturday night.
Raja, the son of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, was filmed on KICK livestream entering the ring mid-way through a match in California before slamming Stuart Smith – aka Syko Stu – to the canvas.
Jackson then rained down over 20 unanswered blows to the already unconscious wrestler’s head before he was eventually pulled off of Smith and restrained by a group of performers.
According to TMZ, police officers were called to the event and are now investigating the incident.
Smith was reportedly rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but is now in a ‘stable condition’ as per a statement from his brother, Andrew Smith.
“Thank you, everyone, for your prayers, concerns, and kind words for my brother Stu,” read a Facebook post from Andrew.
“Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He’s currently stable but in critical care.
“At this time, we’re focused on his recovery and appreciate all the support.
“Also, we currently do not [have] a GoFundMe set up, any links posted are not affiliated with us.”

The alleged assault appears to have stemmed from an earlier incident involving Jackson and Smith.
Smith approaches Jackson and starts to address him in character, before striking him with a beer can.
Suggestions have been made that the can was modified to be used safely as a weapon, as is the case in most wrestling performances.

Jackson reacts angrily and squares up to Smith, while the wrestler turns apologetic when he is told the man he struck is ‘not a worker’.
The apology is accepted after one of the other wrestlers suggests Jackson can get his ‘revenge’ in the ring.
This chain of events falls in line with a subsequent statement released by KnokX Pro Wrestling.
“What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith,” read a Facebook statement from the promotion on Sunday.
“This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred.”
Douglas Malo, a wrestler who jumped into the ring to help defend his stablemate, identified the wrestler who made the call as one of Jackson’s friends, Andre Joel Hudson.
