Summer 2025 comes to a close which means the 2025-2026 college season is starting soon. Highlighting some of the biggest transfers for this season are Bella Sims, Adam Chaney, and Baylor Nelson.
Out of the 107 transfers in the SwimSwam database, 62 of them came on the men’s side while 45 are from the women’s side. Arizona State was the most popular destination for transfers with eight total incoming. Indiana and Quincy (D2) have five transfers each.
Among the biggest names on the women’s side are Bella Sims and Lucy Mehraban. Sims, an NCAA Champion, previously spent the last two years at Florida and now joins Michigan. Mehraban, an NCAA relay All-American, spent two seasons at Louisville but joins the Texas Longhorns this upcoming season.
The men’s side was busier this offseason with NCAA Champion Adam Chaney transferring from Florida to Arizona State for his final season. Baylor Nelson, an NCAA ‘A’ finalist, transfers from Texas A&M to Texas.
Several NCAA Champions will transfer to the Division I level. Two sport NCAA All-American Bryn Greenwaldt is transferring from Division II Augustana to Virginia while Division III Champion Natalie Garre is transferring from Division III Bowdoin to Brown. Bengisu Caymaz is transferring from Division III Kenyon to Virginia Tech.
In addition to moving up divisions, other transfers have made their mark going from the club to varsity level. Daniel Gustin competed at the club level for Santa Clara and will join NYU this fall.
