Day 2 of Bulls Fest is underway at the United Center!
What’s on the schedule for today? A 3-on-3 champion will be crowned, some ’90s champs will meet fans and host clinics (Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright), and some Bulls alumni will judge a skills competition. You can also continue to check out a jam-packed atrium that is filled with local art and some exclusive merch.
While I wasn’t able to make it there for Day 1, I’ll be heading over there right after I wrap up these bullets! Keep an eye out for some social posts!

Fake trade season never ends! Sports Illustrated posted a new one that sends Nikola Vucevic to the West Coast. The deal would give the Lakers the veteran big man in return for Maxi Kleber, Gabe Vincent, and a 2028 first-round pick swap. So … would you shake hands? On the surface, getting any kind of first-round capital for Vucevic feels like a win, but I’m not sure I love a swap with a team that has Luka Doncic as its centerpiece. For it to become useful, you’re basically banking on either (1) the Bulls taking a significant leap forward by 2028 or (2) the Lakers having injury trouble that season. The far more likely outcome is that Los Angeles remains better than Chicago and the swap goes unused. Yuck. As for the Kleber and Vincent additions, they are simply included to make the money work. Both players are on expiring deals, and I can’t imagine Chicago would have any luck flipping them again for assets. This means you’re essentially moving Vucevic for a first-round pick swap from a team with a decently bright future. It’s at least something, but I’d prefer to wait until closer to the deadline to see if Vucevic can draw a better offer. Even a handful of guaranteed second-round picks could be considered better. Nikola Vucevic of the Chicago Bulls – © Kyle Ross-Imagn Images Just like fake trade season, Joe Cowley ripping on the Chicago Bulls season never ends! The long-time Bulls beat reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times wrote about the organization’s ongoing search for a star. He reminded us of Arturas Karnisovas’ words during his most recent media availability, where he stressed that the team’s next No. 1 player could already be on the roster. Woof. Look, the Bulls have several intriguing young players who could become high-impact contributors on a winning team. But crossing your fingers that one of them reaches superstar status is a reckless way of doing business. The Bulls should be focused on two things: Developing their current talent AND trying to add a more proven star. They’re not mutually exclusive! Indeed, whether it be through a Top 5 draft selection or a blockbuster trade, the Bulls have to give themselves options. Instead, they continue to prioritize more immediate contributors over tradeable assets and middling results over lottery balls. The longer you do that, the harder it’s going to be to add that next difference-maker. Is it possible that they jump 12 spots in the lottery, or Matas Buzelis becomes a bona-fide All-NBA-caliber player? I guess so. But why not give yourself more possibilities? Why rely so heavily on luck? You’ve got to admit, Angel Reese’s new signature shoe is pretty dope. She’s already released some awesome colorways. The purple and black may be my new favorite.FIRST LOOK: Reebok Angel Reese 1 "Charm City" inspired by @Reese10Angel's Baltimore roots ??️ October 2025?️ $120 pic.twitter.com/ftwlFqhd72
