Expectations will be high for Everton to get themselves a win in their first ever match at the 53,000-seater Hill Dickinson Stadium having called Goodison Park home for the previous 133 years.
David Moyes’ side will be desperate to record their first points of the season after a disappointing performance in their first outing at Elland Road on Monday night, which saw a substandard performance from the Toffees end in a 1-0 defeat against the newly promoted side.
The Merseyside won their most recent meeting against Sunday’s opponents which will offer them optimism, however Brighton did have a good recent record at Goodison Park, winning on three of their last four visits without defeat, scoring 11 goals in the process.
