ADDISON, N.Y. — Steuben County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for help looking for a suspect they say stole over $4,000 from a bank in Steuben County.
According to deputies, it happened at around 10:40 a.m. Friday. Investigators say the suspect entered a bank on Steuben Street in the Village of Addison, displayed what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded money.
Deputies describe the suspect as a thin white male possibly wearing a blond wig, with a black hoodie and dark facial hair. They say the person was last seen walking east towards the Main Street area along the Canisteo River dyke, behind the building.
Deputies also say the person was seen Saturday morning in the area of Denison Parkway and Market Street in the City of Corning.
No weapons were discharged nor was any injury reported. This is an ongoing investigation and deputies ask anyone with information to contact their office.
