ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Broad Street Bridge in downtown Rochester will be closed this weekend as the city cleans up the Genesee River.
The city says crews from the Department of Environmental Services will be removing logs and debris from the river. On Saturday, News10NBC crews saw logs being pulled out of the water with a crane.
News10NBC was told that there are plans to also clean up Veo bikes and scooters that were thrown into the river back in May, although the company is responsible for the bikes.

The bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. All other bridges in downtown are still open.
