LE ROY, N.Y. — Two people died early Friday morning after a crash in Le Roy in Genesee County.
It happened at 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Griswold and West Bergen roads in Le Roy. Investigators said a dump truck T-boned a car after the car ran a stop sign. The two people in the car were killed, while the dump truck driver is expected to be fine.
Officials said this intersection has been the site of multiple crashes recently.
“I don’t know if it’s driver inattention, unfamiliarity with roads, distractions,” said Chief Deputy Brian Friday from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
Friday said they are going to look into getting another study done by the state Department of Transportation.
