His first three carries each went for four yards as the Arizona State legend was finally able to suit up in a preseason game against the New England Patriots after missing the first two preseason games with a hamstring injury.
Three carries was all the action he would see as he prepares for an important role in the Giants backfield once the regular season begins.
The Giants start the preseason on Sept. 7 against the Washington Commanders.
Skattebo is listed as the 3rd RB on the Giants depth chart behind Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary but he has stood out during preseason practices and training camp.
The Giants are likely to go running back by committee as they progress through the season.
