CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – A Canandaigua man is facing charges after Ontario County deputies say they found weapons and body armor in his car.
Investigators discovered an assault rifle, loaded magazines, a handgun with multiple loaded magazines, and body armor while executing a search warrant inside a car owned by Kristopher Jon Culbertson.
Deputies say court documents from Colorado, where Culbertson is originally from, prohibit him from possessing these weapons in any state. They also say he doesn’t have a New York State Pistol Permit.
Culbertson was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He was released from jail after posting bail, and is set to answer his charges at a later date in Canandaigua Town Court.
