VICTOR, N.Y. — A 51-year-old employee at the Walmart in Victor has been arrested after being accused of stealing over $10,000 from a register.
Ontario County Sheriff deputies say David Ashworth took money from a register during his shift and hid a money bag with the money inside. Deputies say he then took the money at the end of his shift and left the store.
Ashworth was arrested on Aug. 18 and charged with grand larceny in the third degree. He was brought to the Ontario County Jail and arraigned in CAP Court Tuesday and released on his own recognizance.
Ashworth is set to return to the Town of Victor Court at a later date to answer the charges.
