ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for a robbery and stabbing in a Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot in Rochester.
The robbery happened on Aug. 16 of last year. Prosecutors say 49-year-old Marquis Hucks stole a bicycle from the victim and stabbed him in the shoulder. The victim survived after being hospitalized.
Hucks was sentenced in Monroe County Court on Tuesday as a persistent violent felony offender, with prosecutors saying he has a long and violent criminal history. Hucks was arrested two days after the attack and a jury found him guilty of robbery and assault.
