PITTSFORD, N.Y. – It’s the countdown until the new school year at local universities. Nazareth University welcomed freshman and transfer students to its campus on Wednesday for move-in day.
News10NBC stopped by campus as families were moving kids in and talked with some of the new “Golden Flyers.”
“I really liked the community here and I think it’s a beautiful campus, and it’s good for my major,” said Samantha Conley, a freshman social work major at Nazareth.
Beth Paul, president of Nazareth University, said she was excited to welcome new faces.
“We attract students here who really care about the world and who really do want to be part of making the world the kind of community they want to live in, everyone wants to live in, and that just gives me incredible inspiration and hope,” Paul said.
The new Nazareth students will head out into the Rochester community for a day of service on Thursday. Returning students move in on Saturday
Students at the Rochester Institute of Technology also moved in this week, with freshmen and transfers moving in on Monday. Here’s when students move in at other universities:
