For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Jett Dooley from Raleigh, North Carolina has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Miami-Ohio beginning in the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
“I chose Miami University because it offered the best path to achieving my goals of becoming a pilot, as well as an amazing swim team full of great people and great Coaches. I loved the campus and facilities at Miami and felt it was the best place for me to get better.”
Dooley swims for TAC Titans out of Raleigh. He most recently swam at Futures in Greensboro, swimming best times in all three of his events. He swam to a 14th place finish in the 50 back (27.33), 22nd place finish in the 100 back (58.54), and 22nd place finish in the 200 back (2:06.60).
He just finished his senior year at Cardinal Gibbons High School. In February, he swam to numerous lifetime best times at the North Carolina 4A State Championship. He was 4th in the 100 back in a lifetime best 50.50 as well as 9th in the 200 IM in a best time 1:52.15.
Dooley’s Best SCY Times Are:
100 back: 49.89 200 back: 1:48.67 200 IM: 1:52.15 400 IM: 4:03.55The Miami-Ohio men captured the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference title with 820 points, finishing over 100 points ahead of 2nd place Southern Illinois. Henju Duvenhage led the way for Miami-OH with wins in the 100 back (46.31) and 200 IM (1:43.79). Duvenhage just finished his graduate season so the team will be in search for another leading scorer this upcoming season.
Based on his best times, Dooley would have already made the conference ‘B’ final in the 200 back. Jensen Nelson won the 200 back conference title for Miami-OH in a 1:43.34 while the team had one additional ‘A’ finalist as well as one ‘B’ finalist. It took a 49.75 in the 100 back and a 1:51.13 in the 200 IM to earn a second swim.
Dooley will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2029 along with Rowen Bishop, Tuck Gregory, Paul Hong, Duncan Salmen, Nathan Lindstrom, Liam Quigley, Jackson DeKuiper, Owen Fowler, Eli Rolfsen, Luke Pugh, and Patrick MacKillop.
