ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Shaina Zazzaro, a Rochester businesswoman, is heading to Las Vegas for the National Mrs. American pageant. The competition is set to take place in less than a week.
Zazzaro was crowned Mrs. New York American in June. Many may remember her as Mrs. Rochester. She also owns a healthy food catering business called “Effortlessly Healthy.”
“I really hope to bring home the crown to Rochester, I was born and raised here, this place is my heart. I have my company that is successful because of the community in Rochester. I’m really proud to represent,” Zazzaro said.
Zazzaro said she aims to inspire and empower others, especially women, through her participation in the pageant. She is aiming for at least a top-three finish.
New York has not won a crown since 1997.
