ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A parolee is facing charges after Rochester Police say he drove away from them on Monday night.
RPD officers stopped the 26-year-old man around Lyell Avenue and Saratoga Street around 10:30 p.m. Police say that, during that encounter, he got into a car and hit an officer with his open car door while driving off.
Police chased the car until Fulton Avenue, where they say the man got out of the car. Officers arrested the man and charged him with reckless endangerment and unlawful fleeing from an officer. RPD says he had an ankle monitor.
