FAIRPORT, N.Y. — The Village of Fairport is asking for the community’s input on how to use funding from a state program aiming to strengthen local economies, create jobs, and expand housing options.
The village is asking residents, business owners, and developers what they’d like to see. It has opened its official “Call for Projects” as part of its application for New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
The submission period will close on Friday, Sept. 26. The village says these projects may include public space improvements, new housing, or mixed-use developments. The village is encouraging both public and private proposals. The ideas don’t have to be fully designed at this stage.
