The town of Windsor will host a ribbon cutting next month for the newly opened Community Development Center.
The ribbon cutting will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, following Coffee with the Mayor at 10 a.m., according to a town news release.
The building at 200 N. 11th St. — formerly the police department — was repurposed, adding extra office space and a large community meeting room. Tours of the new building will follow the ribbon cutting, the release states. The Windsor Police Department moved into a new 17,000-square-foot building last August.
The new Community Development Center is a “a significant milestone in enhancing both public accessibility and operational efficiency,” according to the release.
“The newly renovated space brings together Windsor planning, engineering, economic development and water resources teams under one roof, streamlining services for residents and developers alike,” the release read
Light refreshments will be provided. It is free to attend, and no RSVP is necessary.
