CAYUGA LAKE, N.Y. — A search is set to continue on Monday morning for a missing boater on Cayuga Lake. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office says search boats will be back in the water around 7 a.m.
Deputies say two people were in a canoe on Sunday morning when it tipped over. People heard yelling from the lake and rescued one of the boaters. However, the other boater has now been missing for more than 24 hours.
The sheriff’s office has been using drones with help from the Department of Environmental Conservation and New York State Parks Police. News10NBC has been in touch with the sheriff’s office for the latest updates.
