GARDEN GROVE — A 34-year-old Long Beach man was killed Sunday in a collision involving his motorcycle and a minivan in Garden Grove, and the minivan driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash occurred at 9:42 a.m. Sunday in the 9100 block of Garden Grove Boulevard near Cannery Street, according to Sgt. Charles Starnes of the Garden Grove Police Department.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the rider of the 2005 Suzuki motorcycle unresponsive, Starnes said. Orange County Fire Authority personnel assessed the rider’s injuries and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 28-year-old Garden Grove man driving the other vehicle, a 2001 Honda Odyssey, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the sergeant said.
