A pedestrian running along a Carmel Valley street was hit by a car this weekend, suffering life-threatening injuries, police said.
The collision happened shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday on Del Mar Heights Road and Lansdale Drive when a 32-year-old man ran into the path of a Tesla Model 3 driven by an 18-year-old woman, according to Officer J. Perales of the San Diego Police Department.
The victim was rushed to a hospital with a skull fracture, facial fractures, a collapsed lung and acute respiratory failure, Perales said.
