OVID, N.Y. — Several police agencies and fire departments are searching Cayuga Lake near Ovid for a missing person.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, there was yelling heard from the lake in the early morning, near 7000 Route 153, and one person was rescued by a few citizens who heard the call for help. This person was not injured.
There’s a second person still missing, and people are asked to stay clear of police and fire boats on the water.
