Regardless of personal taste, Coke objectively reigns supreme in terms of its availability in restaurants. But Costco is in the midst of making a divisive change: switching from Pepsi products to Coke.
As a result of the change, the food court will obviously need new signage. But if you're a Costco fanatic with a lot of extra space in your home, the old hot dog sign could be yours if the price is right.

A Costco goer in Ohio posted a flyer they saw on Reddit. "Switching to coke, we have had requests for the old hot dog sign," the poster reads, referring to the sign advertising the food court hot dog next to a cup with the Pepsi logo. "Because of this, we will auction it off to the highest bidder." Imagine having the Costco hot dog sign hanging over your bed. Talk about a conversation piece!
"Opening bid $1.50," one commenter joked, referring to the hot dog's iconically stable price. The person who spotted the flyer did note, however, that the auction appeared to only be for the employees.
Apparently, this store isn't the only one auctioning off its old sign, either. "The store I'm at has the same thing going on," a Costco employee wrote in the thread. "$150 at the time of [clock] out at noon today. And of course by a food court employee." It begs the question: would you rather have one Costco hot dog sign or 100 Costco hot dogs?
