Chicago police are searching for multiple burglary suspects wanted for targeting elderly victims in four neighborhoods on the city’s Southwest Side, authorities said.
A total of five incidents were reported between Aug. 5 and 14 in the city’s Brighton Park, Bridgeport, McKinley Park and Armour Square neighborhoods, according to a community alert issued by Chicago police.
In each burglary, the suspects either got the victim to exit their home or distracted them from watching an entrance while other burglars entered the residence and removed items such as firearms, money or valuables, police said.

In one incident, the suspects targeted a home where the residents were out of town.
Burglaries were reported at the following times, dates and locations:
4:38 p.m. on Aug. 5 – 3600 block of South Maplewood Avenue
3:10 p.m. on Aug. 8 – 4200 block of South California Avenue
5 p.m. on Aug. 9 – 2800 block of South Pitney Court
1:43 p.m. on Aug. 12 – 3300 block of South Seely Court
10 p.m. on Aug. 14 – 2600 block of South Shields Avenue
Police are searching for a white van or gray pickup truck, both which don’t have license plates.
