Herman Fire near Benicia explodes to 80 acres, air and ground units respond

(KRON) -- A grass fire burning near Benicia in the 1500 block of Lake Herman Road has rapidly blown up to 80 acres with zero percent containment, according to fire officials. CalFire said the blaze, which is in Cordelia, an unincorporated Solano County community, has a moderate rate of spread.

Both air and ground resources have been deployed to fight the flames. CalFire personnel are working in unified command with the Benicia Fire Department to contain the fire.
