Tickets are on sale for Great Taste of Europa, a one-day festival with small bites and more than 50 wines at Europa Village in Temecula.
It will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sept. 14 for patrons aged 21 and older.
Europa Village is divided into three separate sections meant to evoke the wine-growing regions of Europe. Bolero with a Spanish theme opened in 2020, followed by Vienza, an Italian section, in 2024. A French section, C’est La Vie, is yet to be built.
The festival’s menu this year reflects the cuisine of Spain, Italy and France, plus two additional countries, Norway and Portugal. Foods served at a preview earlier this month ranged from empanadas to baked octopus, as well as a dessert table filled with petit fours. It was tended by students in Temecula Valley Unified School District’s Culinary Arts Program, which also participates with local restaurants in an annual Battle of the Burgers contest. This year it will be on Oct. 18 at Pechanga Resort & Casino.
Europa’s festival will benefit Mission Hope, a local organization that strives to meet the needs of at-risk youth, families and seniors facing food and housing insecurity.
This is the festival’s fourth year, and the winery expects it to be the biggest yet with about 1,800 people attending.
General admission is $199 plus fees, and designated driver admission is $79. All food and beverage tastings are included in the ticket price.
Europa Village won Golden State Winery of the Year in the California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition last spring.
The winery is at 41150 Via Europa, Temecula.
