US volleyball ace Ally Batenhorst has swapped hardwood for hot sand and landed a mega deal with Nike in the process.
The 6ft 5in blonde star, 23, has officially ditched indoor volleyball to chase Olympic glory on the beach and she’s teaming up with none other than reigning world champ Sara Hughes ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
The former Nebraska and USC star, who most recently played for the Omaha Supernovas in Major League Volleyball, shocked fans by revealing her bold career shake-up.
Taking to TikTok, Batenhorst said: “It’s official, I’m no longer playing indoor.
“I’ve completely switched sports.”
And she’s not just hitting the beach, she’s doing it in style.
This week, the social media sensation, boasting nearly half a million followers unveiled a sizzling Nike sponsorship, calling it a “long-term partnership” and saying she was “so pumped.”
Looking every inch the beach babe in her new Nike gear, Batenhorst beamed with pride and excitement.
She added: “Sara is amazing, one of the best people I’ve ever met. It’s been so fun starting this new journey.”
Hughes was equally impressed by her new teammate, She told the BBC: “I was like, ‘Wow’.
“She’s athletic, passionate, a true leader and I knew it would all translate to the beach.”
The duo’s Olympic quest will unfold just 25 miles from their old stomping grounds at USC where they both studied.
