On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Sophie Turner recounted what she thought was an innocent encounter with a celebrity duo, only for it to unexpectedly take a more complicated turn. Turner told Seth Meyers about how the chance meeting went awry.
The actress shared details of a years-ago appearance at a San Diego Comic-Con afterparty, per Page Six. She was with a childhood friend, who wanted the Joan star to say hello to an actor she had admired for some time.
“She saw this actor she, like, loved,” Turner began. At her friend's request, she waved at the man. “That was it,” she said of the brief interaction.

Tuner continued, “Later on, I see this girl looking at me, and she’s a famous actress. And I go, ‘I have to go and tell her how much she means to me.'”
She approached the woman, who asked, “Can you stop flirting with my fiancé?” A confused Turner didn't know who the woman was referencing until she pointed at the actor the Game of Thrones star had waved at previously.
“I have no idea who this man is,” Turner concluded. “Turns out, they broke their engagement off that night because of my [wave]."
"I didn’t realize I held this power," she added. Subsequently, the actress did not name who the celebrity A-listers were.
Sophie Turner is currently working on several acting projects, including the upcoming films Trust and The Dreadful. She is a mother to two daughters, Willa and Delphine, with ex-husband Joe Jonas.
