Leave It to Beaver was a beloved CBS/ABC sitcom that ran from 1957 to 1963. Three of its main cast members — Barbara Billingsley, Hugh Beaumont and Tony Dow — have sadly passed away, but the Beav himself, Jerry Mathers is 77 years young and he is out there meeting fans and celebrating the show that made him famous.

"We really want to see them win. That's where you come in. If you click on their picture below, you can cast one vote for free every day for a week — no purchase necessary. If they take first in their group, they move on to the semi-finals. Gee guys, it would be swell if you could help them them out," writes Mathers on Facebook.

Indeed, Jon and Laurie are currently in 1st place for Variety magazine's America's Favorite Couple. On the voting page, they explain their love story. The two met "later in life," which presented both advantages and challenges.
"Wonderful to meet later in life. We had our own lives and built a new one rich in love and devotion, friends, family and senior dogs," writes the couple.

They also detail how their love story began — Jacobson, an author and Hollywood researcher, was at an autograph show and she stopped to say hello to actor Stan Livingston, who played Chip on My Three Sons. He introduced her to Provost, though she "found out later Jon was kicking Stan under the table" until Stan introduced him.
"Love at first sight," she writes.
