Controversy began earlier this week when Jason Ralph, husband of Rachel Brosnahan, liked an Instagram comment about his wife's chemistry with Superman co-star David Corenswet. Brosnahan, 35 and Corenswet, 32, play couple Lois Lane and Clark Kent in the latest installment of the beloved superhero franchise.
"It’s genuinely sad to see your career being tucked out to be remembered as a cuckold because your wife couldn’t handle herself with her co-actor," the Instagram comment read. "Like bro.. let’s have some self love and stand up for yourself man, leave her to be with him if she wants that much at the end of the day."
Ralph appeared to "like" the comment, but did not reply to the poster. He has since disabled comments on his Instagram since fans first noticed the like, which was on a comment under his most recent post on June 2.

After noticing the interaction, Superman fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the situation.
"Congratulations Jason Ralph from now on people will remember you as Rachel Brosnahan’s (insecure) husband. Happy now?" wrote one commenter on X.
"I’m sorry, THIS is what’s got Jason Ralph acting insecure and insulting his wife? A freaking PECK?!? ON SET?!?! Nah this is insanely disrespectful. Rachel, you deserve a more mature husband." added another alongside a clip of Brosnahan and Corenswet kissing in the Superman movie.
Longtime fans of the actor jumped to his defense, saying it's common for him to troll haters on social media and that his Instagram like could either be an accident or a simple joke.
"This is hilarious as a [Marvelous Mrs. Maisel] fan who KNOWS that jason ralph is THE internet's biggest troll but also you guys are weird af get a job," wrote one fan on X.
Brosnahan married Ralph, her Marvelous Mrs. Maisel co-star, in 2016 after the two met in 2013 on the set of another project.
Corenswet, on the other hand, married Julia Warner in March 2023 and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2024.
