The redshirt senior’s injury is currently seen as a day-to-day injury, and this isn’t being seen as a long term injury, per the report. Banks missed all of spring camp as he was recovering from foot surgery, but he was able to return late in the summer and begin practicing.

Last year, Banks had 21 tackles, 7 TFL’s and 4.5 sacks in 12 games. His best game of the year was against Ole Miss, when he was named SEC Co-Defensive lineman of the week.
Banks is the latest key contributor for the Gators to have to miss some time due to an injury. Fellow defensive player LJ McCray is also missing some time this week due to a lower leg injury.
