Taylor Swift couldn't believe how Travis and Jason Kelce behaved when meeting Prince William during the London leg of her Eras Tour.
While appearing on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast, Taylor Swift recounted the 2024 viral backstage moment at Wembley Stadium when Prince William arrived with Princess Charlotte and Prince George. The Kelce brothers jumped on the opportunity to meet the royal family during the intimate visit.
When discussing the Wembley concert, Swift asked, “Wasn’t this the week that I got to watch Jason meet the royal family?” Jason replied in the affirmative.
“I knew you were serious when I was like, ‘Jason, do you want to go meet [them]?’” she asked. Jason responded, “What do I do with my beer?”

“I watched him have this moment with his beer where he’s just like, ‘But I want to take it. But I know that I probably should not take it,” Swift deadpanned.
Swift believed she could read Jason's thoughts exactly. “If I don’t have my beer, what do I do with this hand now? Or am I just, like, being authentic by having the beer?"
"I would normally have the beer. Wouldn’t they want me to be myself?” Swift concluded of Jason's thoughts. “I’m watching you say that in your head, and it was fantastic.”
The brothers first discussed meeting the royals on their podcast in June 2024. Travis and Jason agreed that the moment was once-in-a-lifetime.
“Dude, he was the coolest,” Travis said of William. “He was so cool!”

“I didn’t realize this because obviously we’re backstage meeting him because he was there with little George and Charlotte. They were an absolute delight to meet.”
Travis added that he wasn't sure if he had to adhere to any royal protocol when meeting the future king. “Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to, like, bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand,” he joked.
Jason explained, “But they said that because we weren’t at, like, an official royal event, we didn’t need to bow or curtsy. If it had been like an official meeting of royalty event, then it would have been that. But I did still address him as Your Royal Highness.”
