Gosselin, who was a medical professional prior to her reality television career, even shared a few details about her new job, explaining that she works in "pediatric home healthcare" helping a family with a "medically challenged child."

In response, Gosselin commented, "Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS. Sickening but I was drug [sic] into court constantly and that costs A TON."
Gosselin added that it was a "sad" situation because she believes that had she not been forced to invest so much money into legal fees, her children "could have a lot more saved" and she "could have a retirement saved."
While answering another fan's question about why the family wasn't "set for life," Gosselin wrote, "I wish. I spent sooooooo much money on attorneys. That killed us! :( so sad!"Gosselin was seemingly referring to the lengthy custody battle she faced with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin. While the couple's divorce was finalized in 2009, they were in court fighting over their custody agreement for years.
While the long legal battle may not have set her up for financial success, Gosselin says she doesn't mind working — and finds helping others fulfilling.
"It's okay. I'm helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping," she concluded.
