IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — Ukrainian culture will be on full display at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Irondequoit starting Thursday.
The 53rd annual Ukrainian Festival will run through Sunday, featuring authentic Ukrainian food, dancing, and music over the four days. It will also feature a bazaar with embroideries, ceramics, amber, Easter eggs, paintings, jewelry, and more.
Parking and admission are free. Food at the festival will include pierogies, cabbage rolls, and Ukrainian sausage. Here are the hours for the festival:
Thursday: 6 p.m. until 10:45 p.m. Friday: 6 p.m. until midnight Saturday: 1 p.m. until midnight Sunday: 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.The festival comes three and a half years since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine. It also coincides with a high-stakes summit in Alaska, planned for Friday, between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin about the war.
