M&M's fans are pretty excited and for good reason.
The iconic candy-coated chocolates are no longer only available in its original milk chocolate format, expanding with several permanent as well as limited-edition spin-offs in recent years. And while some flavors are certainly ranked higher than others, its seasonal offers this year have become wildly popular among consumers.
Which is part of what makes this news so bittersweet, as fans rally around the arrival of a returning fall favorite, it also means that M&M's summertime exclusive Cookies 'n Creme variety will soon no longer be stocked on shelves.

So if you couldn't have guessed it, the "amazing" Pumpkin Pie M&M's are making a comeback again this year. At least, according to one eagle-eyed shopper who snapped a photo of the treat in-stores already.
"Milk chocolate pumpkin pie m&ms are back!" the grocery news influencer captioned the Aug. 12 upload, noting that the seasonal release was spotted at Walmart but it does not appear exclusive to the retailer (in previous years, it was found at most major retailers that already stock the brand and even Cracker Barrel).

"These taste amazing!" a second chimed in, giddy over the re-release. That said, the fan was a little concerned over the packaging resemling another beloved M&M variety, suggesting "M&M needs to package them in a different color because they are too close to the peanut mm packaging ?."
Last year, fans touted the treat as something they couldn't stop eating. Part of the praise had to do with the balance of flavors, with one noting, "It has a good pumpkin flavor."
According to an official description, M&M's Pumpkin Pie flavor takes the fall dessert and transforms it into a "bite-sized slice of pumpkin pie dreams." It features real milk chocolate infused with the "cozy warmth of pumpkin spice, all wrapped up in vibrant candy shells."
The limited-edition variety has only started to roll out to shelves, so if they're not available at a major retailer near you just yet, be patient. Or you can visit the M&M's website where the candies can be purchased online in one, six or 12-count packs for a limited time.
A spokesperson for M&M's was not immediately available for comment.
